HEART SENSE

 Psychotherapy for Individuals & Relationships

Embodied Presence in the Here and Now

My practice in working with others involves my own commitment to embodied presence in the here and now so that I can help my clients directly understand and bring attention to stuck patterns and cultivate the potential to have reparative experiences and new choices for change and acceptance.

Sarah Paolino, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker practicing as a psychotherapist with individuals and couples.

I use an approach that is based in dialogue, physical body process, and attention. I use exercises meant to develop awareness and create opportunities for new ways of being. I also incorporate a somatic, bottom up approach and parts work to support self-regulation and greater internal integration.

My style is one that honors the co-created process. I meet my clients where they are at and let them lead the pace and direction of treatment. I am accountable and welcoming of feedback. I work with individuals based on the context of their lived experience, and practice in acknowledgement of the impact of larger systems.

The question is how do we hold a point of tension not just in our minds, but our hearts, which allows us to hold both that the whole exists right now and that the whole is becoming.
