Note: Navigating insurance in mental health care is complex, both for clients and therapists. I have carefully selected the insurance networks I'm in to maintain a balance between providing accessible care and ensuring that I can sustain my practice. This article from NPR sheds light on why it can be difficult to find a therapist who accepts insurance and how this impacts both clients and providers.
At Heart Sense Therapy, my approach is centered on empowering you to guide your own path to healing. I believe in helping you develop self-support and effective strategies for living well, while fostering a deep self-understanding and awareness.
Our work together is grounded in a non-judgmental and non-imposing environment, where we explore the roots of your challenges rather than just addressing symptoms. Through a dynamic dialogue that incorporates our relationship, your embodied experience, and creative practices, we engage in a holistic, experiential process that honors your wholeness.
My focus is on healing emotional pain, addressing and transforming old patterns, and supporting you in building meaningful connections with yourself and others. By embracing freedom, choice, and change, we work towards creating a more fulfilling and connected life.

Couple & Relationship Therapy
In my approach to couples work, I use mindfulness and an exploration of relational dynamics to delve into the embodied experience of togetherness. We focus on fostering intimacy, effective communication, and meaningful contact. My specialization includes addressing crisis patterns, navigating complex trauma and attachment issues, and understanding the influence of family, generational, and cultural factors.
With an emphasis on "I/we" dynamics, I support couples in balancing autonomy and connection, helping them restore individual identities while cultivating intentional and meaningful relationships. My practice is dedicated to skillfully managing differences and competing needs.
I provide affirming support to LGBTQIA relationships.
I work with a range of relationship structures. I also specialize in helping people in domestic relationships explore and define their roles and responsibilities, envision shared or separate futures, and navigate the complexities of co-parenting.

Supervision
I offer supervision for graduate-level clinicians working toward completing their supervision hours. My approach blends educational and experiential learning, allowing us to explore cases together in a way that supports both your clinical development and personal growth. I help you integrate clinical approaches into your practice while also guiding you to recognize areas where you may feel stuck. Our work together will focus on both the process and content of your cases, ensuring that you grow as a clinician and deepen your self-awareness in parallel.
While I am not currently holding licensure supervision groups, I am available to do so upon request.

Meditation Instruction
Pay what you can/45 minutes
I work with people who are looking to develop a meditation practice or who already have a practice and are looking to work with a guide dedicated to deepening, enhancing, and addressing obstacles.
The benefit of working with me as a guide is that given my therapeutic background and trauma informed approach I am able to work with people experiencing obstacles along the path that have not been traditionally recognized and supported in meditation group settings.
I work well with people otherwise maintaining functioning who are experiencing or have experienced dissociative symptoms, distorted thinking, impaired self functioning, trauma triggers, spiritual trauma, and disorienting psychedelic experiences. I can help support the process of self integration while being able to continue along the path of meditation practice.
